Ukraine took the 3rd place in the ranking of world exporters of barley
In 2015/16, despite the decline in barley production volumes, Ukraine has shifted from 4th to 3rd place in the rating of global exporters, according to "APK-inform".
It is reported that Ukraine has supplied to foreign markets 4.3 million tonnes of barley.
Traditionally, the main competitors of Ukraine on the world markets in the current season remain the EU and Australia. While Russia in the current season, surrendered and moved to 4th place.
It is also noted that in 2015/16 competition Ukraine in this segment was Argentina, which thanks to the abolition by the government of 20% duties on grain exports are 1.5 times to increase the volume of deliveries of barley to the world market – up to 2.5 million tonnes.
