World prices for fishbone flour in the beginning of the year has fallen from 1,700-1,900 USD per ton to 1,400–1,600 per tonne amid growing supply in the global market, according to the Rabobank report. According to experts, the continuation of this trend in the coming months could seriously increase the demand for fishbone flour from the feed industry and to improve its operating performance.
However, in the long term, experts have expressed concerns about the possible emergence of imbalances between supply and demand. It is expected that by 2020 in several key regions of the world will be commissioned a production capacity for 100 thousand tons of flour rabotoy, at the same time during this period the market will experience volatility in demand due to the reduction in demand from salmon farms in Norway and Chile, as well as the transition to alternative ingredients of pig producers in China.
